VMware migration without rewriting a single application. We move businesses off VMware to AWS, Azure, GCP, or modern open-source infrastructure. No application changes, no user disruption, no surprises mid-project.
We've moved live VMware workloads for manufacturing, professional services, and SaaS teams onto AWS, Azure, GCP, and open-source alternatives. Some estates were documented, most weren't. Every engagement starts with honest discovery, not assumptions.
Most VMware migrations stall at the same handful of problems. Hardware licence dongles. Undocumented network rules. Applications nobody’s allowed to restart during business hours. Plenty of consultants will quote the work, hit one of these, and call it out of scope.
We work differently. We’ve moved live ERP systems with USB dongles still validating after cutover, networks with thirty years of accreted firewall rules, and infrastructure where the people who built it have long since left. None of these are reasons to stop. They’re scoped into the engagement and solved before they show up on cutover day.
And we hand over properly. Plain documentation, clean architecture, and no ongoing dependency on us to keep things running. The point of a migration is that it ends.
Hardware licences, complex networks, undocumented systems. These aren't reasons to stop. We've solved all of them in live production environments where the cost of getting it wrong was measured in lost revenue, not lost time.
We recommend whatever destination fits your workloads and budget. AWS, Azure, GCP, open-source, hybrid, or a mix. The right answer depends on your stack, not on which partner programme we're chasing.
The people who scope the work are the same people who deliver it. The engineer in your discovery call is the engineer running your cutover. No partners pitching and juniors executing.
Plain documentation, clean architecture, and no ongoing dependency on us to keep things running. The migration ends when your team can run the new environment without calling us.
"We worked closely with Obsium on an application modernization project for a US-based healthcare customer. Their team successfully migrated the platform to AWS, implemented Kubernetes, and deployed a robust observability stack.
Obsium demonstrated deep expertise in cloud-native technologies and delivered the engagement with professionalism and technical excellence.
We highly recommend Obsium for organizations seeking modern cloud, Kubernetes, and observability solutions."

We’ve worked with Obsium on a few client projects where cloud and DevOps expertise was needed alongside our security work. Their team has good technical depth and has been professional to collaborate with.

Discovery first, then a migration roadmap, then structured delivery in waves. We start by mapping every server, application, and dependency so we know what we’re moving before we touch anything. Most workloads move as they are. Application rewrites are a separate conversation for later, if you want one.
A smaller environment typically takes a few weeks. Larger estates with complex dependencies are usually planned across several months to keep risk manageable. We give a written timeline tied to your specific workloads after discovery, not a generic estimate.
Broadcom changed VMware’s pricing and licensing significantly after acquiring the company in late 2023. Many organisations received renewal quotes several times higher than before, with bundled subscriptions replacing perpetual licences. Migrating to AWS, Azure, GCP, or an open-source alternative is now financially viable for workloads that previously had no realistic path off VMware.
Yes. We build a network relay so the application validates its licence normally after the move. We’ve done this for live ERP systems and other dongle-dependent applications. The software never knows the dongle isn’t in the same room. Hardware-locked software is one of the most common ‘this can’t be migrated’ blockers, and it usually can be.
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and modern open-source alternatives like Proxmox, OpenStack, or KubeVirt depending on your workload profile. We recommend the destination that fits your workloads and budget, not the one that suits us. Pricing is project-based with clear scope and deliverables. For larger environments we run discovery as a fixed-price first step before the full engagement begins.
An honest look at where cloud economics break down, what on-premise infrastructure really costs, and how enterprises are making smarter workload-specific decisions in 2026.
